Matt Graham is an Australian artist, songwriter, producer and live performer based in London.

Songwriting sits at the centre of his work. Drawing from lived experience and the world around him, Matt brings together voice, guitar, live musicianship and electronic production to make music designed to be listened to closely, felt physically, moved with and shared in a room.

That relationship between songwriting and performance has been shaped by a career of more than 1,000 live shows across Australia and the UK. Matt has performed at festivals including Woodford Folk Festival and worked across original music, live looping, collaborative performance and private events, sharing stages and sessions with artists including Amy Sheppard, Busby Marou and Sahara Beck.

His work extends beyond the stage into songwriting and production, developing his own records while writing, producing and collaborating with other artists. His recorded work has also crossed into sync, including music featured in the trailer for BAFTA-winning film, I Swear.

Now based in London, Matt’s wider practice includes music education, collaborative projects and the London Songwriters Social, a monthly space bringing songwriters together to perform, connect and develop new work.

He is currently bringing these experiences together around a growing body of original music: songwriting-led at its core, expanded through electronic production and built to move between recorded music and the live room.
